P W Gates Distribution Ltd have recently expanded the workforce at their new Wixams depot in Bedford with the employment of three female warehouse operators.
The logistics sector is still primarily a male dominated environment but P W Gates are keen to address the gender imbalance. The business has been working hard to promote the logistics sector as a rewarding and challenging profession that is full of opportunities for male or female workers equally.
Charli Gates, Operations Manager at their Bedford depot, commentated that ‘’It is so refreshing seeing women in our warehouse, and proving that women can be just as capable as men in this environment. At P W Gates we are breaking down the barriers for women to enter our sector, and delivering what we promise: equality, opportunity and growth”.
