HGV Commercial Vehicle Technician

We have an opportunity at our Welwyn Garden City – A1 Connect Site, for a HGV Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our team.

Role Overview:

To work alongside our team of technicians servicing and maintaining a vast variety of commercial vehicles and trailers.

The candidate will be required to carry out day-to-day inspections, servicing and repairs, tyre changing and to assist collecting vehicles and taking vehicles to MOT.

Early morning shared shift 7.00am to cover defects at our main depot in Welwyn Garden City.

Must be able to diagnose faults, mechanically and electronically

Must be able to use diagnostic equipment although we can provide some training to start them off.

Must have own tools.

Shift Available:

Monday to Friday, 45 – 50 hours per week, includes unpaid breaks

Day Shift: Hours would be 08.00am – 17.00

1 week in every 4 weeks the hours will be 07:00 – 17:00 – this is required to carry out running defects that the drivers have reported overnight, basic bulb changes, warning lights any damage that has occurred.

Immediate start:

Salary – £38,000 – £40,000 dependant on experience

Successful Candidate:

• Must have class 1 HGV License
• At least 15 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle sector
